X2 5600 or better is plenty for any game or program now or for the next year or so.
Why?, just buy the damned cpu you want, damn!

[/QUOTE]I'm using the Tuniq Tower 120. It's good, but very large so you have to be sure it can fit in your case. Think it's around $45 now and comes with a good fan, think the Thermaltake Ultra 120 extreme is the best, but more like $55 + a fan of your choice. Maybe somethings better now though. The Arctic Freezer 7 Pro is the best budget cooler. All these are within a few degrees in performance. The Tuniq has been great tho, the only reason I'm not running a higher clock is because I have to raise the cpu voltage a heck of a lot to pass 3.4 to be stable, where at 3.4 it's barely above stock. Also gives me nothing in games cause I don't play below 1600x1200. Temps still stay under 60C on the cores even with the voltage way up though. Still need to get around to lapping the heatsink too, just need to buy the sandpaper.
My Mom she has a intel centron or tro can't remember wich but hers is a single core and runs a 3.0She has 1 gig of ramati radeon 200 series 256mb I believeinternal sound card250 gig of ramThe only way I'm able to remeber most of this stuff and it is my Mom's is because I install most of the stuff cause she calls me her tech man but to tell the truth I really am not that good. It is just that I know more then she does and all she knows is how to play a game on it and push the butten to turn it on. Other then that nothing.I'm planning dow the road to install a power supply wich I believe is a 400 watt and the one that she has is a 300 watt. The realon that I'm wonting to change the power is so that I can install my old graphic card in to her machine and then later on down the road install my old sound card into her machine as well. The only problem I see is her mother board. It might slow down my whole idea. I don't know what kind it is but it can only hold like 2 gigs of ram. So I'm not sure if with the right power supply it could handle a nvidia 7600 gt oc 256mb. The pc is still under warrenty.
