need help and info about Monitors plz he ...

hi........i'm planning to buy a Monitor so i want to know what is the most recommanded company for monitors,what are the spec that i should check when i want to buy a monitor , what does this MS and Contrast Raito mean ?ohhh btw for example if the is two monitors one has 3000:1 Contrast and the other one has 1000:1 which one is better ?:oops:i know i'm asking too much but plz at least answer for one Q if you can plzzzzthx in advanceneed help and info about Monitors plz he ...
acer has been good to me, I have the AL2051W which is really good but I know now that there is better since its a 2006 model but still I have the feeling sometimes like I am still playing on a super hi def monitor since its so great =)need help and info about Monitors plz he ...

a higher contrast ratio monter would be better then a monitor with a lower constrats ratio
