I simply right clicked an icon and didn't see the 'Run' option but there was a 'Run as...' option, so i clicked the 'Run as...' option. Suddenly, the desktop turned a tanish clor and I am now unable to left click or right click ANY of my desktop icons, what happened???? Is this a known virus of some sort??? Basically, to sum it up, I right clicked an icon, hit 'Run as...' to see what would happen, and then suddenly, the background went tan, and I can't left or right click ANYTHING, I have to access my programs through the 'Start' bar at the bottom. Someone help me please!!! this is really wierdDesktop just did something REALLY wierd, ...
clean install...just to recap, clean install
what's that supposed to mean???? any1 out there that can help?
Yea do a system restore.
What exactly did you ''run as''?
I was opening Internet Explorer w/ Run as... and some screen came up w/ an option to run as 'current user' or 'new user', i clicked 'cancel' suddenly, the desktop went tan and I could not left or right click ANYTHING from the desktop, could only run things from 'start' button at the bottom. Update: managed to get icosn working again, however I am still unable to right click anything, and the icons have a tan outline around them. Should I just re-start and see what happens? Any1 know what this is????
Are you running XP or Vista?Yea I'd just restart, sounds like it had a bit of a random heart attack there :P.

I remember when I opened up a ''You won the state LOTTERY!'' E-mail once and I get that same tan screen of death...I think the virus was called ''Krack-a-Saurus'' or something...it was ridiculous, had to replace my HDD.And no, I am not joking.
