I don't know what to do

P4 3.06GHz1.5GB DDR RAM7600 GS160GB PATA HDIntel D101GGC motherboardVista Home Premium19''W Acer LCD 1440x900I really want a new processor but i would basically have to replace a lot of things, but i can't afford to do thatI don't know what to do
The processor should be fine for a year or so more, you might want to look into upgrading the graphics card.I don't know what to do
Processor is fine for now. You might want to look into getting something like an X1900Pro or X1950XT. Better yet, if your power supply can handle it, and you have the money, go an 8800GT. another 512MB stick, or even a 1GB stick of RAM would be great as well. Go for the card first though. Hard drive is kind of small, so an investment in another one or an external hard drive would be good as well.
buy new a new cpu single core is slowly dying trying to run your vista even about 30% is being used just for vista constantly killing your performance. Your ram is a fair size and your gpu is last gen but somewhat decent.
I'd take a close look at how your ram is setup. You might be gimping your system by running ram in single channel mode. If you have two matching sticks of 512, it may actually run faster if you pull out half a gig and run the remaining in dual channel mode. Double the memory bandwidth is very helpful. That you can do for free too.If you upgrade the video card now, you can always upgrade your Mobo/CPU/Ram later on and use the same vid card in a new build since it would be PCIe.
well my main goal is to be able to play games at native res with high-max settings.and i bought the card nov 06, so i guess i could upgrade to an 8800GTWEI has my memory and processor at 4.2
