monitor because 8800gts isnt a highend card anywat and it seems you need the screen more considering 7950 can run new games with frames

How big is your current CRT?
monitor because 8800gts isnt a highend card anywat and it seems you need the screen more considering 7950 can run new games with frames
Yes, it is a highend card, its like behind the GTX and the ultra. and my crt is 17'' i think.
I would get the monitor personally because it should last you longer than a GTS! I guess how often you like to upgrade.
get the monitor crt are terrible
get the monitor crt are terrible
Why are they ''terrible''? I know CRT's have their disadvantages, but they are by no means bad!
Well, I guess I'd get the monitor. But it's a bit of the chicken or the egg scenario. If you get a new LCD monitor, you're going to want to play in a high resolution that will stress your current GPU. If you get a new GPU, you're going to want to see it at it's best with big resolutions. I was in this same position a couple months ago. I got a 22'' LCD and kept my 7900GS. My card does alright but I immediately felt the need to upgrade to an 8-series card when I try to play on 16x10 with current games. The moral of the story is: be careful. Once you get one of them you're going to want the other!
I went from a 19'' CRT to 22'' wide sceen. Sooooo nice
