hdmi with a PC

I recently purchased an HP w2207h (22'') moniter. its GREAT image quality! im not complaining at all! and im also going to get a geforce 8600gts (kinda budget). but im wondering if I should take advantage of it and get the rare HDMI version of the card (because my new moniter supports hdmi). im wondering if its going to make a big difference in games. I dont watch a whole lot of movies... im just wondering if its going to make a big difference in gaming (or just basic screen quality when surfin the web). and it wouldnt push the computer harder would it? like it wouldnt slow down the performance of my machine? thanks.hdmi with a PC
Unless you want to transfer sound alongside the video siginal in the HDMI cord, all you need is the standard video-card.DVI will give you the same image quality as HDMI does, and you can even get a converter to HDMI if you really want to.hdmi with a PC

how would an hdmi cord going from my videocard to my moniter give me better sound?
the only difference between dvi and hdmi is the hdmi carries digital sound too...good for small tvs

VGA- when I had vga for my monitor I noticed lines going down the screen every 2 seconds.DVI-D same monitor- the lines went away and was smooth as butter.People say they dont see a diffrence its because that it fixes unoticable things and slightly increases quality. HDMI should be good, as long as its not VGA.
DVI provides the same image quality same as HDMI except HDMI that brings sound

is there going to be ANY difference at all when playing games like crysis and legendary (when it comes out)>>?? and as for sound, I have a $300 5.1 surround sound setup that im NOT giving up for my moniters speakers, lol
