Hehehe, you might of seen me around these boards lately, asking for help here and there...But now i'm back with a new problem that needs expert's help!Alright, let me start it off..Tonight, I finally had everything going and no beeps, all the fans were turning, the mobo was showing numbers and lights.. so I was happy... but I was working on it downstairs where this is no keyboard/mouse, monitor, etc..So I think it went into bios but I had to shutdown after I got it all running for the first timeNow, everytime I turn it on.. the motherboard does light up,fans move, but no parts work it seems.. and when I take a part out it doesn't beep at all which is very strange to me..I read my manual to try and clear the cmos but I had no luck.. I don't think the manual is very clear..Anyways, to recap: Started up the computer and I think it went into bios. I turned it off during bios. Now everytime I turn it on, nothing comes on my screen, but fans move and even the fan on the video card moves. When I take a part out and turn it on, there isn't a beep and still keeps moving those fans. Tried clearing cmos but no luck.. could of done it wrong.. but yeah, does anyone have any idea on what to do/or how to fix it?Thanks again!Come and join Smeetsterr with his new pr ...
Alright, i'm going to go call it a night!I will check this tomorrow and thanks to anyone who read and/or wrote some advice for me.Thanks again!Come and join Smeetsterr with his new pr ...
What motherboard?Just list all your specs, actually. Also, you may want to google ''shorting motherboard pins'' or something like that. You have to make the two motherboard ''CLEAR CMOS'' pins come into contact with one another, either directly or by using a metallic object to make a closed circuit (so that electricity can flow from one pin to another).
I had a similar problem a while back, fans moves, hard drive span up but not display, it turned out to be the PSU.First things first though, check all connections inside the PC to see if anything has come loose.
Thanks for the advice but yet no luck!I tried unplugging everything and replugging in.. i still get the samething,.I still don't know what to do.. I just turn on the computer, all fans move but just, nothing else happens.I even took out all the parts and there isn't a beep!Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? I was thinking I need to take out the motherboard battery or something?

One time that happened to me. Later i found out that my CPU was fried xD
well, did your computer make any beeping sounds when the cpu wasn't working?
Well i'm off to bed!I will check the messages tomorrow and hopefully someone has come up with the plan to get my computer up and running :Dnight everyone!ps: don't forget that it was working until I turned it off during bios.
Hopefully the BIOS is still intact. How does it say in the manual to clear the CMOS? I know of taking out the battery on the motherboard to clear it. Some motherboards have jumpers.
hmm, well I tried doing the cmos jumper but it didn't work...so I think I need to take out the battery but if the cmos didn't fix it.. does that mean the bios won't work anymore?and if I need to take out the battery, can someone tell me the best way? :)
sounds like a bios failure, can you unhook power plug from wall and discharge it because here can be a static also any electrical interference could make it go heywire. Try unplugging mouse keyboard and even speaker jack as that can be used as an antenna. LOL I swear I hear my father talking on his CB when he drives.
Well, I agree that it's a Bios failure but I don't think it's anything wrong with the psu. I unplugged everything, tried a different jack and even a different psu... so I think I need to restart the bios but I don't know how to take out the battery.
well, i'm off to bed.. again :DThanks for all the help.. I'll be checking tomorrow!Night everyone :)
Alright, before i take off the battery... does anyone else have any other advice?
Alright, before i take off the battery... does anyone else have any other advice?
Yes, unplug everything from your computer by that i mean all the cords , power , mouses etc. Then press the power button and hold it for around 45-50 secons. Then take out your battery it shouldnt be that hard at all, after you take out the battery move the jumper to clear the CMOS leave it for around 10 sec and then place the jumper back as it was originally in there. Put the battery back in and hook everything back. Start the computer and your all good.
Hey thanks, but you mean the power button on the motherboard or the case? and if the case.. you mean without anything plugged in? just press that switch? and if it is the mothboard, just hold it?
and does anyone know a good guide to taking off the battery?it would be my first time and I dont want to make mistakes? I tried looking on google but couldn't find anything.
and does anyone know a good guide to taking off the battery? it would be my first time and I dont want to make mistakes? I tried looking on google but couldn't find anything.
The power button on the case while everything should be unpluged before you do that, also you dont have to be a genious to take out that battery. What i usually do is grab a knife touch the case of the computer in case there is electricity to discharge it and take out the battery with that knife.
Alright thanks, i'll try that now and ill come back with results asap!
