AMD almost breaks even

Link

''AMD's stock was up more than 5% in after-hours trading last night as the company beat expectations by reporting a non-GAAP operating loss of only $9M, versus $148M in Q3. The main upsides were quarterly seasonality and sales of 400K Barcelona units (2:1 desktop-server ratio).

Revenue was up 8.5% quarter-over-quarter, which contributed to higher factory utilisation. The latter, along with the introduction of new products, resulted in gross margins improving from 41% to 44%. The combination of these two factors increased gross profits by 17%, or $116M. Operating expenses were down by $25M despite R%26D being slightly up.''

Looks like its on track to get back on its feet, hopefully they can still give Intel/Nvidia stiff competition to benefit us consumers :)AMD almost breaks even
looking at the upcoming ATi card that beats the ultra at half the price, I think amd has nothing goin on here.
