best video card for $300

i just bought a new computer, and the on-board video sucks. i have about 300-350$ to blow on a new video card. i am new to pc gaming, and i am not sure what to get. im into all the new pc games, like oblivion, cod 4, orange box, crysis. please help.thanks :)best video card for $300
8800GT or 8800GTS best video card for $300
512mb 8800gts. or if you want to wait another month you can get a 9800gx2 which is way better for about $100 more.

9800GX2 will be 500-600 not worth it its only 30 some % faster than a 8800 GTX

you have include inflation and the ultra is a overclocked gtx.

Make sure your current power supply can handle a better card. If it was a prebuilt and only came with onboard video, most likely won't be enough.
8800gt 512mb superclocked EVGA preferably
3870X2 is $400 if/when you can find it...
HD 2600XT crossfired!
