Something wrong with PC

Ok as a last resort I am coming here to see if anyone can help, I've tried searching for help and tried what i knew best to fix the problem myself but still no luck.What happened was last night i was using my PC chatting on msn and browsing GS when all of a sudden the screen goes black for a few seconds and when it comes back on my mouse pointer is broken up into little pixels and seems like it is set to 256bit color for the mouse pointer only. Then when ever i move the mouse it skips or jumps to the otherside of the screen or it goes thru the one side and comes out the other.Then if that is not annoying enough every few seconds the screen goes black then comes back on, my cpu stays at 100% and wont come down everytime i try open something or move the mouse the pc freezes for a few seconds then unfreezes then it slows down so much its like you watching a movie in extra slowmo and then it just stalls where the screen goes off permanatly but the machine shows it is still on. I personally (hope) dont think it is my graphics card as it is a brand new one got it 3 months ago, I tried a system restore to a previous date when the PC was working fine but the issus is still there i tried changing a few setting but nothing. If anyone has an idea on what could be the problem please let me know and thanks to all that help much appreciated :DSomething wrong with PC

There are free anti virus programs out there, just do a Google search. Most of them work as good as the commercial versions in my experience. Just make sure you update whatever program you end up using with the latest virus definitions.

Thanks i'll give them a try, the other thing is i have bitdefender on my system and it has not picked up anything. I'll try the 2 mentioned above and let you know what happens.Thanks again
