yeah for sure...if it doesnt, it will just be something simple you can solve in 10 secQuick question about installing a HDD.
So if I use my Hard Drive with Windows XP on it and all of my saved information from my previous PC and put it in a completely new system, when booting it up going into the BIOS and tweaking things will not be necessary?
Doing something in the bios would't be neccesary at all, the system recognize the Hdd when the bios general info (about the Drives) is in AUTO (probably you'll have to chek that)...

So I'd reinstall Windows when/if you move the hard-drive over.

If you need a new CD key you can call Microsoft and explain your situation and they should give you a new one.
If you do just transfer the HD, make sure you delete your mobo drivers, gpu drivers, etc before taking it out of the original rig.

I didn't have any issues. All XP did was ask that I allow it to verify that it was an original copy via the internet. So once I installed all the drivers for my MB and my internet connection was up and running, I just gave a quick double-click on the ''important icon'' in the lower right corner on the task bar and I let XP verify I was running a legit copy of Windows.Everything works fine and dandy.
