http://www.yougamers.com/hardware/stats/3dmark06/priceandperformance/8600gt user must be happy. Best Bang for the Buck
http://www.yougamers.com/hardware/stats/3dmark06/priceandperformance/8600gt user must be happy.
now what reject made that chartBest Bang for the Buck
the chart makes sense but when your 8600gt starts playing games choppy on your 22'' monitor, then who is the smart one?
wow that chart is lame instead of doing it by frames which is what we REALLY care about they do it by a program score thats real smart :| so basically there happy that they have the best score for price when really no one cares
however the value difference are only alittle if u compare the first few.this may not be accurate but it must roughly give us an idea which is worth which isnt.

I think this card is the best bang for bucks for low>mid range cards. For the upper range the 8800GT surely does
That chart is honestly a good idea, but the way it's set up can be misleading. It would be better if they did it by price category, instead of one big ugly chart that is misleading as all hell.

Obviously some games will have a different demographic than 3dmark, but a card that does poorly in 3dmark does poorly in games, and vice versa. The 8600gt is a great deal for $100, but it just isnt a high end card, and to that effect the chart is misleading.
Hm, But HD3850 still pwns the chart! 8)
i have nothing against the 8600gt its a good value for its price but the charts arent' that great for exampel the 8800gt will give you about 3-4times the frames for 2x the price but its showing the best bang for the 8600gt that makes no sense they should do it for games instead also overall the 2600xt will give you better frames than the 8600gt for the same price and ect...
