I'm currently using an ELEMENT 19in HDTV for my PS3 and laptop... the picture is definatley clearer than a standard TV, but it's much worse than the 50in SONY bravia in my basement...The 32in version of the ELEMENT TV has a 1200:1 contrast ratio as opposed to a 850:1 my 19in one has...How much better would this make the picture?What is a good constrast ratio?
Those specs are all valid criteria to judge a display, but the method by which the values for those specs is invented, differs by each manufacturer. You really need to see the display opperating yourself to judge. You cant go wrong with a quality branded display, such as, sony or toshiba. Forget about those numbers.
