HELP!! SLi 8800 GTS or 8800 GTX!?

I juts got off the phone with a tech help guy who said that the 8800GTS were better cause they used a 50nm chip or something like that and therefore better for overclockinghe also said that the technology in the GTX was quite old nowso bearing this in mind and if money wasnt a problem for you would you get dual SLI :
512MB XFX 8800GTS Alpha Dog XXX, PCI-E2.0 (x16), Mem 1972MHz GDDR3, GPU 678MHz, 2xDVI-I/HDTV, HDCP OR Dual SLI :768MB XFX 8800GTX, XXX, PCI-E (x16), Mem 2000 MHz, GDDR3, GPU 630 MHz, 2 x Dual Link DVI-I I understand that the 512MB versions are value for money but would it offer me better performance?HELP!! SLi 8800 GTS or 8800 GTX!?
Why not the 8800GT?HELP!! SLi 8800 GTS or 8800 GTX!?
get a dual GTX
Why not the 8800GT?
well ok, so what the best card i can buy without it being a 8800 Ultra?
If money was no problem, then I'd got for the SLI GTX every time. Other then the ultra, the GTX will beat every other card in Nvidia's lineup when AA and AF are turned on.

To be honest with you, the games you mentioned doesnt require that much of such powerful cards but even so 8800GTS is still abeast. I'd go with 8800GTX if im playing with res 19x12 and higher

But as i told you everything depends onf your screen resultion which will let us know if its even worth to have SLI or not
yeah i have gone for Intel 2.8Ghz verison with 12MB chache and FSB of 1333Mhz which has just come out
I'd go for crossfire HD3870 because crossfire is cheaper and faster than SLI. or you could wait for HD3870X2

the 512mb 8800GTS is equal to a 8800GTX...and it cost less.
get the 8800gtx.........whoever you spoke to probaly works at best buy or mass market retail chain that hires people without checks. The new 88's use 45nm chip which just means cooler perofrmance but the performance of the 2 is that 88gtx's eat the 8800gt's in slilike this2x88gt's in sli > 8800gtx2x88gtx > 2 88gt'salso your looking at a 500 and something dollar increas which is still less than my 8800ults =P
SLI 8800GT's is my recommendation. Faster than both the GTS and GTX and i think its not that expensive. like $400
SLI 8800GT's is my recommendation. Faster than both the GTS and GTX and i think its not that expensive. like $400
I was so close to getting the dual 8800GTS but went for an overclocked dual 8800GTX's instead, (GPU was 630MHZ, memory was 200MHz)
The 8800GTS 512mb is about as good as the 8800GTX. The 8800GT is a little bit worse than those.
Why not the 8800GT?
ya, I am in the same boat as TC but my question is....SLI GTS 320MB, or one 8800GT (with a second a year from now). I already have one GTS, but it just lacks a tiny bit of oomph to run Crysis the way I want. I need about 5-10 more frames. In Crysis the benchmark says the GT gets 49 frames and the GTX gets 51 (forgot rez, its was like 1280x720 or something)...thats not worth the price difference lol.
