Q6600 now, or Q9300 later?

As above.I only just learned that the new Kentsfield quad-core CPUs are coming out soon, like within a month or two, and I understand that the Q9300 will be priced the same as the current Q6600, but will have better performance? It seems like a no-brainer to wait for them, but I wanted to know what you all thought.Q6600 now, or Q9300 later?

Most motherboards, even the best out there, are limited to a 450-475FSB with quadcores.
This means that with the Q9300's 7x multiplier, it will be limited to ~3.3ghz.
Let's say you do manage to get the highest FSB I have seen with a quad, 500mhz, that is still only 3.5ghz.
The same story goes with the Q9450, it has an 8x multiplier, so it tops out around 3.8ghz.
With good aircooling the Q6600 can on average do 3.6 and sometimes even higher.It is still a mixed boat though.
Q6600+$40-$50 HSF = ~Q9450.
Q6600 still might run into heat problems but Q9450 might run into FSB problems.As for the review-

Every time an enthusiast starts to consider parts for his new rig a guilty thought creeps into his/her innocent mind. Should I wait on x to come out? Fact is, 6 months from now your pc, no matter how deliciously fast will be bested in benchmarks by cheaper newer models. Don't fret, just build the best for now, considering your intended uses and future intrests for the machine. Processor speed is not that important, except in benchmarks and video editting. If you're into gaming (gamespot_forums) then the extra 5-15 frames will not be worth the extra money since your machine will assumingly be running a current gen graphics card. Get like 70 frames with budget proc and 80 frames with xtreme proc. I say spend extra on the card instead.
