9800 is going to be a waste of money.

9800 is going to be a waste of money.
Proof?
The 9800 GX2 is two G92 cores slapped together on 2 PBC boards. It's larger then the 3870x2, will draw more power thus creating more heat, and will be more expensive based on what it's rurmored to go for. The last time I checked two 3870's in crossfire beats two 8800 GT's in SLI, so the Geforce 9800 GX2 is going to be a waste when there will be a better and cheaper option out there (aka 3870x2) Have a nice day ;)
2x 3870 comes nowhere NEAR 2x 8800gt
2x 3870 comes nowhere NEAR 2x 8800gt
Two 3870's in crossfire beats 2 8800 GT's in SLI. That's because nVidia has crappy SLI drivers and it doesn't scale well. The Geforce 9800 GX2 is just two videocards with G92 cores glued together and running off the SLI drivers. It's NOT going to be faster then the 3870x2.
willing to spend up to $500

To the TC, wait until Nvidia comes out then make your decision.

yeah just wait till both are out then see what people are having. Then take your decision
